Hey everyone! How is everything going? This week was a pretty good week.
It was the last full week of my companion elder Ruiz. This week we went
by the Guerra family, and they weren't home all week, but Saturday
night we needed a ride, so we called a member to pick us up, and as we
waited we saw the Guerra family walking down the street. We started to
talk to them, and invited them to church, and they said they couldn't
make it, that they'd be busy. It seems like this will be a process for
us. Little by little. But it was a good week overall. On Friday Elder
Ruiz went to the Temple, and I got to lead District Meeting! It was fun.
I was with Elder Moran, an elder working in Mcfarland. We had a good
time, and got some good work done. One lady we walked by said "you got
until I'm done with my cigarette to share the message" after we offered
to teach her the restoration. The Lord puts people in your path when you
take a minute to pray.
Today we needed to find a quarter so we
could do laundry. We remembered a general conference talk where the man
found a nickel after he prayed for it so he could have a chicken leg. So
we decided to do so. We began praying. And walking down the street. We
asked people and kept walking, and eventually found a quarter-sized
coin. I picked it up and found that it was a Chuckie-Cheeze coin. It's
easier to find a quarter than a Chuckie-Cheeze coin... I was like "Ah,
come on!" But when we got to the car we realized that right now, we have
chuckie cheeze faith, not a full quarter's worth of faith. So this
transfer we shall get a quarter faith.
